I Like
You

The
Zojirushi CV-DSC40 is functional, very easy to use, inconspicuous and
works exactly how you would expect it to work.
Plus
after it has finished boiling water it plays a short Bach minuet
which I find to be a nice touch.
What
I Don't Like
It's
not much, but I don't like that fact that the English text on the
buttons doesn't seem to be set in properly. It's too large!
I'm
sure the Japanese version fits perfectly since this Zojirushi hot
water boiler and warmer is mainly aimed at the Japanese market.
It's
not that big of a deal when you consider the quality and practicality
of the CV-DSC40 but it is a pet peeve of mine.

stainless steel gives it an appealing look.
Well
Thought Out Controls & Design
As
with most Japanese consumer products the unit's controls are well
thought out.
For
example, it has an unlock button to prevent water spills and other
related accidents and a double action lever to open the top in a way
that greatly reduces the odds of getting a steam burn.
Also,
the CV-DSC40 is designed to release steam as slowly as possible and
therefore you avoid having too much water build up on your cabinet
above the unit.
Easy to Clean
The
removable lid, and notched corners allow you to effortlessly empty
the water and easily clean the CV-DSC40.
Keep Warm System
The
vacuum-electric
hybrid keep warm system is a great working function that manages to
keep the water temperature at 150 degree for about eight hours
without
using electricity.
Reboil Function
Even
though the water can stay warm at about 150 degrees for up to 8
hours, at some point of the day you may find yourself wanting hotter
water.
In
that case, you simply press the "REBOIL" button and in
about 7 minutes the water will be at 212 degrees.
Practical Water Dispensing Rate
You
will find it convenient that the water dispenses at a rate that
more-or-less prevents splashing. Thus reducing the chance of burns
and accidental spills.
